It will be held on April 30th and May 1st and 2nd, with 60 participating bands and Sanguijuelas del Guadiana as the headliner<\/em><\/p>\n\n

A total of 60 bands will fill the Equestrian Center with music on April 30th and May 1st and 2nd, at the Extrem\u00fasika Festival, a musical event that once again demonstrates that \u201cC\u00e1ceres is ready to host events of this level and magnitude. We are working and will continue working in this direction, to place C\u00e1ceres on the map of major musical events, major tours, major festivals, and above all, major artists,\u201d Mayor Rafa Mateos emphasized. <\/p>\n\n

This was stated by the mayor at the festival’s presentation, accompanied by the acting Minister of Culture, Victoria Bazaga; the Deputy for Tourism, Elizabeth Mart\u00edn; and the promoter, Carlos Lobo, to whom he expressed his gratitude for their collaboration, adding, “I am convinced that the next May bank holiday weekend will once again be marked by music in C\u00e1ceres.”<\/p>\n\n

Mateos pointed out that \u201cwe still have in our minds what was one of those concerts that will be remembered in the history of C\u00e1ceres, with those 18,000 people +1 at the fairgrounds\u2026 enjoying the great Fito and we return today with a musical event that I am sure will attract thousands of followers: Extrem\u00fasika 2026.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

This year, he added, \u201cwith good weather almost guaranteed, taking advantage of the May bank holiday weekend, when the sun usually shines and our region is packed with tourists. And with a lineup featuring established artists like Boikot, Reincidentes, La Fuga, and Def Con Dos\u2026 And especially, with a group that is taking Extremadura to the top, whose lyrics stir us all deeply and who will undoubtedly get the whole fairgrounds dancing on Saturday: Los Sanguijuelas del Guadiana.\u201d <\/p>\n\n

He thanked Carlos Lobo for his commitment to local groups that are not yet fully established, “because offering them the chance to play on a stage like Extremusika opens many doors for people who are just starting out.”<\/p>\n\n

From the C\u00e1ceres City Council, \u201cas usual we will reinforce cleaning, electricity, infrastructure, security services\u2026 and above all mobility as we did last Saturday to ensure that the thousands of people who will travel to the fairgrounds do so in the best possible conditions, and so that this busy weekend goes smoothly.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

\u201cC\u00e1ceres, as we have been demonstrating in recent months and over the last three years, is ready to host events of this level and magnitude. And this is the path we are working on and will continue to follow: to put C\u00e1ceres on the map for major musical events, major tours, major festivals, and above all, for major artists. This is for the enjoyment of the people of C\u00e1ceres and our province, and for all the people of Extremadura and all those who come to visit C\u00e1ceres and Extremadura. We are giving them one more reason to come and share with us our time, our heritage, and above all, our culture, in this challenge we have and cannot forget: to be the European Capital of Culture in 2031.\u201d <\/p>\n\n

Bazaga stated that \u201cit is not easy to get a city to turn its attention to culture, a culture that is committed and serious about its citizens because it brings benefits to those who live and build their lives here,\u201d and congratulated the mayor \u201cfor Holy Week, for the past weekend, and for what is to come. There are many artists from Extremadura, providing an opportunity to work with Extremaduran talent.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

\u201cAll of Extremadura is working towards a culture that will be tourism and, above all, an economic boost for all of us,\u201d he emphasized, \u201cand the Regional Government, the Provincial Council and the City Council are committed and doing a great job in strengthening all the successful proposals; the citizens want it and expect it,\u201d she stressed.<\/p>\n\n

Mart\u00edn pointed out that \u201cat the provincial council, we believe in the power of culture and music as drivers of economic growth, social cohesion, and international projection, and Extrem\u00fasika is a clear example of this. It not only puts us on the map of major musical events but also provides an opportunity to showcase to the world the talent, cultural richness, and organizational capacity of our region.\u201d <\/p>\n\n

The program combines quality, diversity and current trends, “connecting with different audiences, especially young people, generating spaces for meeting, enjoyment and cultural expression that are fundamental to building municipalities, vibrant, dynamic communities with a future,” he emphasized.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cOne of our biggest commitments is to support both established and emerging bands from Extremadura, and this year we are very fortunate to have as our headliners a band that is revolutionizing Extremadura and the country, nominated for the \u2018Spanish Grammys\u2019, such as Sanquijuelas del Guadiana,\u201d he highlighted.<\/p>\n\n

Programming<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Thursday, April 30: The festival kicks off with the highly anticipated return of Uoho with Rebrote, the powerful, metal sounds of \u00c1ngelus Ap\u00e1trida, the seasoned veterans of Reincidentes, and the urban energy of Fernandocosta, among other artists such as Gato Ventura, Pedro Pastor, and Nikone. Extremaduran artists like Diana Keys and Ra\u00fal Cabra y la Sukyband will also take the stage.<\/p>\n\n

Friday, May 1st: On the second day, the energy didn’t let up, with legendary Spanish rock and hardcore punk bands like Boikot, Hamlet, Narco, Los de Marras, Kaos Et\u00edliko, and El \u00daltimo Ke Zierre sharing the stage with the explosive Gomad! & Monster and the more urban generation represented by the talent of Kaydy Cain, Daniflakko, and Santa Salut, among others. Of course, there was also strong support for Extremadura with bands like Wistimber and Zalake. <\/p>\n\n

Saturday, May 2nd: The final day of the festival promises a grand finale with rock bands and artists such as La Fuga, Def Con Dos, Poncho K, Balkan Bomba, and Segismundo Toxic\u00f3mano, as well as up-and-coming acts like La Pantera, Luis Kill, M\u00e9trica, and Kabasaki, among many others. On Saturday, everyone will be eagerly awaiting the hottest band of the moment, Sanguijuelas del Guadiana. Other rising stars from Extremadura include rapper Devo KCRS, rock band Inkandescencia, and DJs Michael KRN and Alex S\u00e1nchez. <\/p>\n\n
