Nearly 300 people will participate tomorrow in the Plaza de San Jorge in C\u00e1ceres -at 12:00- in a participatory and intergenerational flash mob to mark International Dance Day.<\/p>\n\n
This is an action organized by the candidacy of C\u00e1ceres to European Capital of Culture in 20231 in collaboration with the Professional Dance Conservatory \u201cSagrario Ruiz-Pi\u00f1ero\u201d and with the participation of the Department of Sports of the City Council of C\u00e1ceres, since this action is also connected with the designation of the capital of C\u00e1ceres as European City of Sport.<\/p>\n\n
Titled ‘Europe Moves in C\u00e1ceres \/ C\u00e1ceres Moves Europe’, the event will involve 300 people and will emphasize a community and intergenerational dimension. The choreography will be set to the song “Extremadura” by Shara Pablos. The singer, an ambassador for C\u00e1ceres 2031, has granted the rights to use the song for the event, and a remixed version has been prepared to facilitate the choreography and collective participation. <\/p>\n\n
The event features the participation of different generations, with students from the educational centers IES El Brocense, IES Norba Caesarina, Colegio M\u00aa Auxiliadora, Colegio San Jos\u00e9 and Colegio Donoso Cort\u00e9s, among others, and older participants in the program \u201cExercise takes care of you\u201d and from the Senior Center of the Plaza Mayor.<\/p>\n\n
One of the key elements of this edition has been the coordination with the Teachers and Resources Centre of C\u00e1ceres, through which contacts and the involvement of the different participating educational centres have been channeled, thus consolidating the connection between the educational field and the city’s cultural project.<\/p>\n\n
With the title ‘Europe moves in C\u00e1ceres \/ C\u00e1ceres moves Europe’, the Plaza de San Jorge will be transformed into a meeting place where dance acts as a common language, capable of connecting generations, experiences and different sensibilities, reinforcing the role of culture as the backbone of the candidacy.<\/p>\n\n
This new action reaffirms C\u00e1ceres 2031’s strategy of placing citizens at the center of the project, promoting open initiatives that build a collective narrative and project an image of a dynamic, participatory city committed to culture as an engine of development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
