- All people who wish can attend, regardless of their age and nationality
The City Council of Cáceres, through its Department of Culture, remembers that the deadline to participate in the calls for the XXXII Poetry Prize “Cáceres World Heritage Site” and the XVI Literary Contest “Premio Antonio Rubio Rojas” is still open.
The Councilor for Culture, Jorge Suárez, has pointed out that “both contests have the main objective of promoting culture and encouraging literary creation, and all people who wish can attend, regardless of their age and nationality.”
Regarding the XXXII “Cáceres World Heritage” Poetry Prize, a single and indivisible prize of 6,000 euros has been established. The works must be unpublished, not awarded, written in Spanish and with a minimum length of 500 verses. Interested parties have until September 30, 2026 to send their originals.
The XVI Literary Contest “Premio Antonio Rubio Rojas” is endowed with a prize of 3,000 euros. The works must be focused on the city of Cáceres in relation to Latin America. The texts must be unpublished, written in Spanish and have an extension of between 5 and 10 pages, and not awarded in the last edition. The deadline for this call ends on October 2, 2026.
For both awards, participants can choose two submission methods: Digital, through the platform www.mundoarti.com, attaching the work in PDF format (maximum 5 MB) under a pseudonym; and in paper, by postal mail or physical delivery to the Department of Culture (Plaza de la Concepción nº 4, 10003, Cáceres).
The complete rules can be found on the official website of the Cáceres City Council (www.ayto-caceres.es). For any questions regarding the rules, please write to cultura@ayto-caceres.es
For any technical questions about online registration, the email contacto@mundoarti.com has been enabled
Suárez has highlighted that “they are two literary events that go further with each call, and that allow us to enjoy the feelings and intimate experiences that the poets reflect in their creations, and with the city of Cáceres relating it to Latin America.”
“I encourage all writers to send us their work and continue to enhance both events. Cáceres is a leading city in culture at the regional level, and this is another step towards our goal of becoming the European Capital of Culture in 2031,” he emphasized.
