The Cáceres City Council reinforces its intense cultural calendar with the fourth edition of the ‘Find the Music’ festival

  • Free micro-concerts will be held in different corners of the Monumental City

The councilor for culture, Jorge Suárez, presented this morning the fourth edition of the “Find Music” cycle. An activity that “has been consolidated during this term and has found a magnificent reception among the people of Cáceres and the people who visit our city during the summer.”

These small format concerts will take place on August 8, 15, 22, 29 and September 5. They are free and are designed for the enjoyment of all audiences.

The charm of this festival lies in the fact that citizens do not know where these small concerts are going to be held. Those interested who want to attend must tour the Monumental City guided by the melodies hidden in its corners. To help you in this musical search, some clues will also be given on the City Council’s official social networks.

“Find the Music” aims to bring culture closer to the public in a different format, while attendees enjoy the heritage of Cáceres. “We are presenting a way to experience music differently, with a program that perfectly reflects the cultural model we are committed to: one that promotes an open culture, an accessible culture, and a culture that supports both emerging artists and established musicians,” explained the councilor.

The poster for this edition will feature the following artists:

August 8: We will have Pau Rubio from Cáceres, with an intimate concert where poetry and music merge in a close and evocative atmosphere.

· August 15: The second event is given by Velehí Quartet, a group of young musicians from Cáceres who have found in traditional jazz a brilliant way to express their creativity.

· August 22: Quercus Dúo is a stage percussion proposal where interpretation and gesture bring music closer to the audience.

· August 29: On the fourth and last weekend of August we will have Rocío Medina, with an intimate concert in which the classical violin will merge with the refined harmonies of flamenco.

· September 5: Ana Peromingo and Alberto Rea offer “A Night at the Opera” to end this cycle of microconcerts.

Jorge Suárez has stressed that “with these 5 concerts we once again demonstrate that quality does not depend on the size of the stage, but on the emotion that the music and the environment in which it is enjoyed are capable of generating.”

Furthermore, he wanted to highlight that this festival adds to the intense cultural calendar that is taking place this year in Cáceres, “we celebrate the 40th anniversary of our declaration as a World Heritage City, and we continue working with enthusiasm to achieve the European Capital of Culture 2031.”

The City Council’s intention is that this activity “reinforces the image of Cáceres as a city that makes culture one of its main drivers, with the same motto that we have in the Capital that ‘Culture is the path’.”

Finally, Jorge Suárez has encouraged all citizens to tour our Monumental City, discover its corners, and let themselves be carried away by music in a different way.
