Cáceres’ bid for European Capital of Culture in 2031 adds the support of Skål International Madrid, an association integrated into an international network of professionals in the tourism sector with more than 12,000 members in more than 100 countries.
The entity has officially conveyed its support to the mayor of Cáceres and president of the Cáceres 2031 Consortium, Rafa Mateos, highlighting the values of the city and the importance that a European Capital of Culture can also represent for tourism.
The support was unanimously agreed upon by the Board of Directors of Skål International Madrid, as stated in the letter signed by its president, Frank Babinger.
This accession reinforces the projection of Cáceres 2031 and expands the network of entities and professionals that support a project that aims to turn culture into an opportunity for transformation and projection of Cáceres and Extremadura inside and outside Spain.
