Cáceres’ bid for European Capital of Culture 2031 has been distinguished with the Región Digital in the @ Culture category, a recognition granted within the framework of the VI @RegionDigital.com Awards, which highlight initiatives, projects and people that contribute to the development and projection of Extremadura. The award ceremony was held in Mérida and brought together nearly 250 representatives from the institutional, business, cultural and social spheres of the region.
This award represents important support for the work being carried out by Cáceres 2031 to build a participatory, innovative cultural project open to the public, with the aim of positioning Cáceres as a European cultural benchmark and generating new opportunities for the territory through culture.
