Cáceres 2031 strengthens its connection with the territory in a meeting with the cultural managers of Cultura Viva

Cáceres’ bid for European Capital of Culture 2031 has held a working meeting with the 16 cultural managers who are part of the Living Culture program of the Cáceres Provincial Council. The meeting, held in the Europa Room of the San Francisco Cultural Complex, served to share proposals, exchange experiences and continue to jointly build a cultural project that aspires to represent the entire province.

During the session, those responsible for Cáceres 2031 presented the progress of the candidacy and listened to the contributions of cultural managers, key actors in the revitalization of cultural activity in numerous Cáceres municipalities. The meeting made it possible to generate a space for dialogue and reflection on the challenges and opportunities posed by the bid, as well as collect ideas and suggestions to strengthen its territorial dimension.

One of the aspects addressed was the creation of a “multiplier” program, an initiative aimed at expanding the capillarity of the candidacy throughout the province. This program will seek to have cultural agents who act as ambassadors of Cáceres 2031 in their respective territories, facilitating the dissemination of the values, objectives and opportunities offered by the project.

Likewise, from the candidacy, the will to actively collaborate with cultural managers and with the projects that may arise in the different municipalities was conveyed, making available to the agents of the territory the knowledge, tools and networks that are being generated around Cáceres 2031.

The meeting is part of the participation and listening strategy promoted by the candidacy, which considers the involvement of cultural professionals, institutions and citizens essential to building a solid, inclusive and representative proposal of the province’s cultural diversity.

Cáceres 2031 thus continues to strengthen its links with the cultural fabric of Cáceres, convinced that the path towards the European Capital of Culture must be traveled through collaboration, participation and shared commitment to the cultural development of the territory.
