- The training will be led by international specialist Jo Claeys on November 7th and 8th
Cáceres 2031 continues to expand its program throughout the region with a new event in the Jerte Valley, where the workshop “Funding Securing through the Erasmus+ Program” will be held this Friday and Saturday, November 7th and 8th. It will be led by Belgian expert Jo Claeys, a leading figure in European programs and cultural cooperation.
The initiative is aimed at cultural, educational, social, and youth associations, as well as individuals and groups interested in learning how to access European funds offered by Erasmus+, a program that finances projects with local impact in the fields of culture, education, and youth.
The training workshop will take place at the Hospedería Valle del Jerte and will offer a practical and accessible overview of how to design and implement European projects, from understanding the program’s priorities to developing sustainable proposals with real impact. Participants will also discover the many possibilities that Erasmus+ offers beyond the well-known student exchanges, exploring its potential as a tool for social transformation, innovation, and community cohesion.
As Claeys points out, “Erasmus+ allows us to drive change from the local level, offering resources and methodologies to generate real projects that strengthen our communities.” The sessions will incorporate examples of European best practices, participatory exercises, and collaborative activities, combining theory and practice to facilitate learning.
The training will be held on Friday, November 7, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday, November 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Participation is free until capacity is reached, and registration can be completed through the following online form: https://forms.gle/Y1pr2RmwArQLEQ6j7
With this workshop, Cáceres 2031 reinforces its commitment to European cultural cooperation and sustainable territorial development, bringing new training and funding opportunities to the various municipalities of Extremadura.
