Tourism organizes 40 free guided tours of the Monumental City to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Cáceres’ declaration as a World Heritage Site

The Tourism Department of the City Council of Cáceres will launch the activity “Getting to Know Our Heritage”, a series of 40 free guided tours of the Monumental City to mark the 40th anniversary of Cáceres being declared a World Heritage City by UNESCO.

As explained by the Councillor for Tourism, Ángel Orgaz, “the objective of this initiative is to make known, promote and disseminate among the citizens the historical and artistic heritage of the city through guided tours of our historical-artistic complex, internationally recognized for its excellent state of conservation.”

The tours will run from May 23rd to November and will last approximately two hours. Each tour will require groups of a minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 60.

DATES AND REGISTRATION

Those interested in participating can register by sending an email to visitasguiadas@ayto-caceres.es or by calling 927 255 825, indicating the date and time they wish to make the visit.

The visits will always take place at 10:30 a.m. on the following dates:

  • May: 23, 24 and 30.
  • June: 13, 14, 20, 21, 27 and 28.
  • July: 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25 and 26.
  • August: 1, 2, 8, 9, 22 and 29.
  • September: 5, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27.
  • October: 3, 4, 17, 18, 24 and 25.
  • November: 7, 8, 21, 22 and 26.
