Cáceres will proudly fill its Plaza Mayor for the third consecutive year next Saturday, June 27th

  • The day will include a protest march for equal rights from Cánovas to the Plaza Mayor, followed by a reading of the manifesto and a great party with concerts

For the third consecutive year, the Plaza Mayor of Cáceres will once again be the epicenter of the Pride Day celebration, “Cáceres with pride.” After the success of previous editions, which managed to bring together thousands of people in the heart of the city, the capital of Cáceres is preparing to reaffirm its commitment to diversity and equal rights.

The date chosen for this edition will be Saturday, June 27. The organization, promoted by the Department of Social Services, Women, Equality and LGTBI of the Cáceres City Council, highlights the importance of this event to make visible the rights of the LGTBI collective. The different groups involved in the organization have actively participated in the planning: Fundación Triángulo, Extremadura Entiende, Cuidado que te veo and DiverCeres.

The programming on Saturday, June 27 will begin at 8:00 p.m. with a march. The tour will start from the Paseo de Cánovas (statue of Gabriel and Galán) and will end in the Plaza Mayor where the day will continue with the reading of the manifesto by all the collaborating entities, followed by a great party that will feature various concerts, the full program of which will be announced soon.

With this call, the City Council of Cáceres and the collaborating entities invite all citizens to participate in this festive and protest day, which seeks to consolidate the message of respect and coexistence, reaffirming once again that Cáceres is a diverse, egalitarian and proud city.
