Cáceres 2031 launches a new call for artistic and cultural projects

  • The Open Call invites artists, professionals, collectives, organisations and cultural institutions to contribute new proposals to the development of the Cáceres 2031 programme
  • Interested individuals and organisations can register from this Wednesday to explore the different participation strands and submit their proposals by 1 September at 11:59 p.m.

Cáceres 2031 launches a new call for artistic and cultural projects to continue developing its programme and bring new collaborations into Cáceres’ bid to become European Capital of Culture.

The Cáceres 2031 Open Call is open to artists, professionals, collectives, organisations and cultural institutions from all disciplines. It seeks proposals capable of exploring new forms of expression, connecting people and territories, fostering cooperation and broadening the conversation with Europe from Extremadura.

The call is part of the open and ongoing process through which Cáceres 2031 continues to shape its cultural and artistic programme, encouraging the involvement of a diverse range of stakeholders and projects and creating new connections both within and beyond the region.

A call open to different disciplines and territories

The Open Call is aimed at independent professionals as well as collectives, organisations, institutions and other cultural stakeholders interested in contributing to the development of the Cáceres 2031 project.

The call is structured around a number of themes and areas for participation in which Cáceres 2031 has identified programming opportunities and needs during the development of its cultural and artistic project.

These strands open up the programme to new proposals and participants, bring in different perspectives and foster connections that will help enrich the project. Once they have completed the initial registration, applicants will be able to explore the specific areas available and select the one that best matches the main purpose of their project.

How to apply

To take part, applicants must first complete an initial registration form with their basic contact details and indicate the organisation, institution or entity they represent or, where applicable, that they are applying as an independent professional.

Once registered, they will be able to access the different thematic strands and select the one that best reflects the central aim of their proposal. They will then receive the relevant application form by email to continue the process.

The call will remain open until 1 September 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
