The graphic memory of Cáceres takes a new step towards its preservation and dissemination with the launch of Old Photos of Cáceres, a web portal that brings together historical images of the city and makes valuable documentary heritage available to citizens.
The initiative, promoted by Alfonso Polo, allows us to explore the urban, social and cultural evolution of Cáceres through an extensive photographic collection that includes different periods and emblematic corners of the city. The project contributes to preserving collective memory and bringing local history closer to neighbors, researchers and visitors.
The portal can be consulted at www.fotosantiguasdecaceres.es, where users will find photographic galleries, historical content and references to the different appearances of the project in the media.
From Cáceres 2031 we celebrate initiatives that contribute to the enhancement of our cultural heritage and that help strengthen the link between citizens and the history of our city.
